Last Chance to Catch “King Lear” Tonight

Those who missed last week’s performances of Shakespeare’s “King Lear” by British theater company TNT will have a last chance to catch the show this evening.

The resounding success of the production at the National Theater prompted organizer Café Britt, which also hosted performances last week at its Teatro Dionisio in Heredia, north of San José, to announce three additional shows this week, the last of which is set for 8 p.m. tonight at the National Culture Center’s (CENAC’s) Teatro de la Danza in downtown San José.

One of Great Britain’s foremost touring theater companies, the award-winning TNT has toured throughout Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, with productions ranging from Shakespearean plays to contemporary works (TT, Sept. 1).

General admission to tonight’s performance costs ¢2,500 ($4.80). For more information, call Café Britt at 277-1600.
