Tico-U.S. Chamber Opens in Florida

FLORIDA’S newly formed CostaRica-United States Chamber ofCommerce, created in May, received theofficial go-ahead last week when itbecame a member of the Association ofBi-National Chambers of Commerce inFlorida. The association approved thechamber’s membership at its AnnualAssembly, held in Coral Gables, Florida.The chamber – headed by Costa RicanGerardo Borbón, a Miami resident – hasalready registered 43 members in lessthan a month since its creation, accordingto a statement from the association.“The existence of a Costa Rican chamberin Florida will facilitate access to informationon… opportunities offered by thisbeautiful country that is only a few hours’flight from Miami,” association presidentLita Haeger said in the statement.
