May Inflation Registers at 1.37%

COSTA Rica registered a monthlyinflation rate of 1.37% for the month ofMay, up from 0.96% in April, according tothe National Statistics and Census Institute(INEC).Inflation for the first five months ofthe year was reported at 6.37%, comparedto 5.14% for the same period last year and3.65% for the same period in 2003. In thepast twelve months, annual inflation hasreached 14.46%.
