U.S. Airlines Slash Fares to Costa Rica

Major U.S. airlines including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines have announced significantly reduced fares to Costa Rica, with round-trip flights starting as low as two hundred and twelve dollars. These discounted fares apply to flights arriving in both San José and Liberia, catering to diverse traveler preferences. The travel window extends from late August through February, aligning with Costa Rica’s dry season. While most flights include layovers and are basic economy tickets, nonstop options are available from Miami. The Costa Rican Tourism Board sees this as a significant opportunity to attract more visitors to experience the country’s ‘pura vida’ lifestyle, rich biodiversity, and world-renowned hospitality. Local businesses are preparing for an influx of visitors, and these reduced fares are expected to play a crucial role in Costa Rica’s economic recovery and tourism growth.
