Burger King is back in Costa Rica just eight months after the former franchisee closed its operations due to accumulated debt and other financial woes.
California-based burger chain Johnny Rockets on Thursday inaugurated its third restaurant in the country, which represents a $400,000 investment and 15 jobs, bringing to 90 the total number of jobs the local franchisee currently has here.
Costa Rica-based QSR International, a fast food franchise developer, confirmed it will invest $2.5 million in opening new locations in the region this year.
Restaurantes Subs, the local franchise of Subway restaurants, this week reported they will add four more locations by the end of the year, bringing the total number of sandwich shops in Costa Rica to 63.
