Felix da Housecat to DJ in Costa Rica

Chicago House music icon Felix da Housecat will be DJing at Vertigo Saturday, Nov. 30. He is the headliner for the downtown San José club’s annual white party.

Felix da Housecat recently took a four-year hiatus from a two-decade-plus career to find his way back to sobriety. The electro-house pioneer resurfaced in 2013 with a new brand and material. His recent comeback has included regular weekly radio show gigs, a Friday night resident DJ spot at the club Clandestine in Ibiza and live DJ sets around the world.

The end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 will take Felix on tour from the United States to London, the Netherlands, Brazil, Costa Rica and more.

Costa Rican DJs Los Malcriados (Fredo Cortez and Mobius Strum) will also be spinning in the main room at Vertigo. Musicians Faceblind, Esteban Howell, La Raza and Richard S. will perform in the den.

Presale tickets are ₡10,000 ($20) and can be puchased at Ruta Urbana, Vertigo music stores and Vertigo headquarters. If you wear white and buy a presale ticket, you will receive a complimentary drink. Tickets on the day of the event are ₡10,000 ($20) for those who wear white, and ₡13,000 Colones ($26) for those who do not.

Vertigo is located on Paseo Colón in downtown San José, Costa Rica.
