Limón Development Fair to be held this weekend

From April 15-17, the Caribbean port city of Limón will push for more business and development initiatives through a business fair that combines work, pleasure, networking and great food. President Laura Chinchilla will be on-hand to inaugurate the event, which starts today.

The point is to bring people together to create much-needed jobs in the region. The fair, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce, will be held at the Atlantic Port Authority’s Dock 70, in Limón. To date, $36,000 has been invested in promoting small-business development in the region, through the Development Banking System.

The fair is part of a larger $72.5 million development initiative sponsored by the World Bank.
