Holy Week and its madness continue, with parades and pseudo-crucifixions and Easter egg hunts on Sunday.
Marley
The prophet of reggae music Bob Marley has his own documentary debuting this week in Costa Rica. The film has received rave reviews, and of course features a large chunk of Marley’s discography including hits like “Redemption Song,” “Three Little Birds” and “I Shot the Sheriff.”
Marley shows at Cine Magaly at 6 p.m. on Friday, 7:45 p.m. on Saturday and 4:10 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
Rialengo Circus
Rialengo is a Costa Rican rock band whose members decided to put together a circus – and this multidisciplinary joyride promises to be one of the most creative performances of the year. Like an aftershock to the International Arts Festival, El Circo del Rialengo performs Wednesday afternoon in San Pedro.

Events supporting peace
Retired Col. Ann Wright and Medea Benjamin will visit Costa Rica April 23-30 to share their experiences with drones and terror during their time in Gaza, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen. They’ll be encouraging active resistance against all wars with their series of talks.
