ICT launches campaign to attract local tourists

The Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) on Monday announced a new campaign aimed to attract more local tourists.

This is a task that has not been easy for ICT, but a promising new ad campaign offers permanent discounts of up to 30 percent for Ticos only.

Tourism Minister Allan Flores said ICT is proposing “a change of mentality in the Costa Rican population. Many think that going on vacation is for weekends only, and they don’t think they can enjoy a good trip from Monday through Thursday, with fewer people and more benefits. That’s what we want to communicate with this campaign”.

The campaign will run until December. For more information, go to the website: www.vamosaturistear.com.
