Some of you may have heard that we have had several robberies of Granada businesses in the past week, reportedly with a pistol. As a board member of the Amigos de la Policía, I expressed my concern to the Granada police chief. They made it a priority and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that their diligence paid off quickly.
Four suspects are now in custody and a revolver and some stolen goods were recovered by police after a raid on the suspects’ home last weekend.
We would also like to extend our condolences to the family of the Granada policeman who was shot and killed while apprehending a person during a recent drug bust.
The police are doing their job as best they can with few resources. Please consider joining the Granada Amigos de la Policía to show your support.
