MANAGUA – Reported crimes between January and November of last year were down 2,400 compared to the same period in 2004, according to National Police statistics reported last week in the daily La Prensa.
Police tabulations for the first 11 months of last year register a total of 38,057 crimes against people were committed throughout the country, with 17,000 of those occurring between the hours of 4 p.m. and midnight – a lapse considered to be the “most dangerous time of day.”
