RECENT studies launched by the Economy Ministry have concluded that corporation IRD Costa Rica may be selling a lemon.Claims that Super Fuel Max, an engine addition distributed by IRD Costa Rica, increases fuel mileage by 27% and decreases pollutants by 47% were determined faulty according to chemical and technical analyses completed by the Electrochemical and Chemical Energy Center at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), the daily La República reported.The UCR results coincide with other studies by the University of Illinois and Northwestern University in the United States.IRD Costa Rica maintains that the product has been proven functional in the United States and that their customers can return the product if they are not satisfied.
