Tourism Fair Begins Tuesday

THE “Costa Rica Travel Mart”(EXPOTUR), organized each year by theCosta Rican Association of TourismProfessionals (ACOPROT), will beginTuesday at the Hotel Herradura, west ofSan José.The event, which will last until June2, will feature educational workshops,business meetings and a trade show oftourism-related products and services. Thefair also includes pre-circuits, whichbegin today, and post-circuits – opportunitiesfor visiting business executives tosample Costa Rica’s tourist offerings,from beaches and rain forests to activitiessuch as white-water rafting.The 21st edition of the fair will featurepromoters from Central America(Nicaragua, Panama and Guatemala), aswell as businesses from Mexico, theUnited States and the Caribbean, accordingto event director Pablo Solano.This year’s seminars (May 30-31) willfocus on Educational Tourism and MarineTourism.For more information, visitwww.expotur.com.
