Keylor Navas Welcomes 30 Ukrainian Refugees in his Home

Paris Saint-Germain’s Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas is hosting some thirty Ukrainian refugees at his home, the club said, confirming a report by Spanish daily Sport.

The Costa Rica goalkeeper, who is playing with his home country in the playoffs for the 2022 World Cup, has adapted his home to welcome families fleeing the war in Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia.

The player’s wife, Andrea Salas, had posted several messages on social networks calling for solidarity: “We can help these children, some with their mother, others not, young people alone with just their clothes that were the only thing they could grab, we can contribute with anything, non-perishable food, clothes, personal hygiene things…”, she wrote.

The thirty or so refugees who arrived at the Navas’ home were transported by an evangelist association based in Barcelona.

The club did not confirm the number of people taken in, limiting itself to confirming the information, “because Keylor does not want to promote” his gesture.
