‘A Night at the Museum’

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 14, 7 to 10 p.m., for “A Night at the Museum,” a unique fundraising event sponsored by the Women’s Club of Costa Rica (WCCR) at the Costa Rican Art Museum in western San José’s La Sabana Park.

The ₡20,000 ($40) ticket price includes wine, bocas provided by local restaurants, live music and a guided tour of the museum’s new exhibits. Terrific items will be presented in both live and silent auctions.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the WCCR’s Educational Scholarship and Reading Is Fun projects.

Don’t miss the cultural event of the season. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 2239-8619 or email fundraising@wccr.org.

The WCCR is a philanthropic organization supporting education, primarily through scholarships and development of school libraries for children in Costa Rica. Founded in 1940, it is one of the oldest continuously operating service organizations in Costa Rica. The club’s English-speaking membership of 350 women of all ages represents 20 countries. Drawn together by the motto of “Friendship Through Service,” they meet with guest speakers on the second Wednesday of each month. More information can be found at www.wccr.org.
