Dominical lifeguards beach party benefit coming up

The Dominical Lifeguards are holding their annual benefit July 3 at 11 a.m. at Roca Verde hotel in Playa Dominical, on the southern Pacific coast. Highlights will include a silent auction, raffles, beach games, great music, a margarita bar and yummy barbecue ribs and chicken. A lifeguard will of course be on duty to watch over swimmers and surfers.

The lifeguard program relies on donations to continue its invaluable work, and is asking for contributions for the auction; anyone who can offer a service, tour or product will help bring in needed funds for the lifeguards’ essential work. This year, more space will be allotted for the silent auction so donors can set out cards or information about their businesses. Last year’s benefit brought in more than $10,000, well over half of which went to pay off two years of debt, so this year’s funds should really go a long way.

If you can donate to the auction, email the address below or call 8313-1771. And mark your calendars for this fantastic party!
