Taca Airlines Announces New San Salvador-Liberia Flight

Taca Airlines announced Thursday that starting Dec. 1 it will fly between San Salvador, El Salvador and the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, in Costa Rica’s northwest province of Guanacaste.

The flight, which is scheduled four times a week, will have connections to the rest of Central America, the United States, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay.

The new flights will operate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in European-built dual-propeller ATR 42 airplanes, each with a capacity of 46 passengers.

The Liberia-San Salvador flight is the newest addition to a catalog of 39 destinations in 22 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

The new route plays a vital role in further promoting Costa Rica as a tourist destination, the Costa Rican Tourism Board said in a statement.
