Small earthquakes felt in Escazú, Esparza on Sunday morning

Two minor earthquakes shook Escazú, in west San José and Esparza, a Pacific slope town west of San José, on Sunday morning.

According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), the Escazú temblor occurred at 4:23 a.m. with a magnitude of 2.5. Almost three hours later, at 7: 14 a.m., the Esparza quake registered a 3.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale.

No damage has been reported.
