The pride of Costa Rica is UEFA’s Goalie of the Year

Costa Rican star goalkeeper Keylor Navas received the UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season award on Aug. 30, ahead of the draw for UEFA Champions League football tournament at The Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Navas turned in an outstanding season as his club team, Real Madrid, clinched its third consecutive Champions League title earlier this year.

He’s now facing competition from new Real arrival Thibault Courtois, but his place in the hearts of his Costa Rican fans is undisputed.
