Surf/Golf charity event coming

The 14th annual charity golf and surf tournament will be held at Tamarindo, Guancaste, from March 15-18. The challenge includes a team golf and surfing contest, with four men per team.

Registration fee is $200 ($150 for golf only). The cost includes surf inscription, golf fee, golf cart, lunch, entrance to Azul Profundo fashion show, and after-party with guest DJ Matos. Each participant receives a gift bag from contest sponsors.

Other activities include a BBQ, live music, Roxy’s “Better Together” girl relay race, awards ceremony, silent auction and sailing tour.

All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit organization CEPIA, which helps underprivileged children through shelters, schools, counseling, sports and educational activities.
