Laura Chinchilla to give commencement speech at Georgetown University this month
Costa Rica’s President Laura Chinchilla (GRD ’89) will be giving a commencement speech at Georgetown University, her alma mater, on May 21.
Chinchilla received her master’s in public policy in 1989. She attended the University of Costa Rica for undergraduate studies.
Costa Rica’s first female president will address graduates of the Edmond A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. The university will award Chinchilla an honorary degree.
