John Bunsco, a 53 year-old New Jersey native, was arrested last week in Costa Rica after evading drug charges for almost 11 years.

According to New Jersey newspaper The Messenger-Gazette, Bunsco was arrested on Feb. 4, 1999 and charged with a second and third-degree felony for possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute. Bunsco fled the U.S. prior to his 2000 court date. On Nov. 20, Bunsco was escorted by Costa Rican police on a flight back to Newark Liberty International Airport. Bail was set at $250,000 cash.
