Help Wanted for La Carpio Kids’ Christmas Party

The Women’s Well-Being and Development Foundation (www.wwd-f.org) is holding its annual children’s Christmas party Dec. 17 in the western San José shantytown of La Carpio.

The kids look forward to this event all year round, as do their parents. The foundation is expecting a total of 200 children and parents this year, and is still seeking resources to purchase gifts, food and decorations and to rent buses.

There are many ways you can help: by donating money (www.wwd-f.org/help.html#online), gifts worth no more than ₡5,000 ($10), food or music, or by volunteering as face-painters, clowns, magicians or balloon artists, or as a photographer or videographer.
