And Beware of That Flower Guy, Too
“Watch out for flowers” is not the kind of title you see often on police press releases.
But in July, the Judicial Investigation Police (OIJ) warned people in San José to be careful of a robbery scam in which bandits were posing as flower vendors and going door to door. When a resident opened the door, the bandits forced themselves in, tied up the victim and robbed them of their valuables.
Bandits had also been posing as freight deliverymen in the western suburb of Escazú.
