Pedestrians in San José were baffled in January when a white, shiny circle seen in the sky left hundreds wondering if they were in the presence of a UFO. Some bystanders went into a panic and some even burst into tears.
The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) later announced it had recently launched a weather balloon that might explain the mysterious sighting.
