Costa Rica this year received top ranking among the world’s happiest countries in two British surveys.

The Happy Planet Index, calculated by Britain’s New Economics Foundation (NEF), ranked Costa Rica third in the world, while the University of Leicester, England, ranked it number one in Latin America.
