Aegis Limited, a global outsourcing services provider, announced Tuesday that it is expanding its operations in Costa Rica by opening a 900-seat call center in Rohrmoser, west of San José.
“Costa Rica has played a vital part in our success. Aegis began operations in Costa Rica in 2006 and today we have nearly 900 employees,” said Sandip Sen, the company’s president of global customer lifecycle management, in a press release.
“Our Costa Rica location serves U.S.-based clients in healthcare, banking, travel and hospitality, retail and technology,” he added.
The new facility is located in the Rohrmoser section of San José, close to the U.S. Embassy, and it will allow the company to provide services in customer care, customer acquisition, reservations, technical support and collections.
The “Aegis Tower” will increase capacity for agents and create “a substantial savings in lease cost, in a logistically better section of San José,” Sen explained.
