The Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) approved a reduction in fuel prices that could go into effect next Tuesday.
The reduction in international fuel prices brought about the decline in domestic prices, and will take effect when published in the official newspaper La Gaceta.
The measure decreases per-liter prices by ₡3 ($0.003) for “super” gasoline, ₡38 ($0.075) for “plus” gasoline and ₡63 ($0.12) for diesel.
Carolina Mora, a spokeswoman for ARESEP, said that the calculation is rounded up and will become official at midnight on the day it’s published in La Gaceta.
After the adjustments, the per-liter price of “super” gasoline will go from ₡746 to ₡743, “plus” will go from ₡735 to ₡697 and diesel will decrease from ₡667 to ₡604.
