Police find 49 kilos of cocaine in Escazú home of kidnapped man

Police found 49 kilos of cocaine inside the home of a Colombian man who was kidnapped on Tuesday.

The Colombian man, whose last name is Solano, was abducted from his home in Guachipelín de Escazú, a southwestern San José suburb, by three subjects who were dressed as members of the National Police.

At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, three subjects invaded the home in the residence Las Vistas and and took the victim away in a vehicle. The suspects fled to Santa Ana, abandoned their vehicle, and left in another car.

Police are investigating the case and have not released any information about the alleged kidnappers. Judicial Investigation Police said Solano had been renting the Guachipelín home for six months.
