Windy conditions to continue this week

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) reported Monday that windy, cold and rainy conditions will continue through the week.

For the Central Valley, IMN predicts temperatures between 15-28 degrees C (15-82 ºF); for the Caribbean, temperatures are expected to range from 21-31 ºC (70-88 ºF).

Weather conditions for the Pacific and the northwestern province of Guanacaste will be stable, and no significant rain is expected. Meanwhile, dry winds are expected to continue in that region.

The IMN recommends residents in the northern and northern Caribbean regions to monitor the swell of local rivers, such as the Telire-Sixaola, Chirripó, Cariblanco and Sarapiqui rivers.

They also warned residents in the San José metropolitan area to watch out for falling objects and power lines, due to the expected strong winds.
