Weather to improve in most of Costa Rica this week

Cold, strong winds and rainy conditions will decrease beginning Monday, after a cold front from the north of the continent begins to leave Costa Rica.

According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), icy cold masses coming from the north pole were responsible for winds of up to 52 miles an hour that caused severe drops in temperature.

This weather phenomenon affected most of the country last week and was responsible for unusually low temperatures and increased wind speeds in most of the country.

IMN forecasts indicate that winds will be moderate throughout the week, and weather more typical of this time of year is expected.

However, rains will continue in the northern and Caribbean regions.
