Expo Verde environmental fair coming soon

The Corcovado Foundation (www.corcovadofoundation.org) has announced that this year’s Expo Verde 2011 will take place April 1-3 at INBioparque, north of San José in Santo Domingo de Heredia.

Expo Verde will feature environmentally friendly products and services, including an array of organic products, electronic innovations, synthetic woods, biodegradable plastics, environmentally friendly chemicals, products to aid in recycling and much more.

The fair’s goal is to promote more environmentally friendly practices and nature conservancy by bringing merchants and consumers together under one roof. It’s a chance to see what’s out there on the market and speak directly with product sales representatives.

Tour companies that promote sustainable practices will also be on hand. Bring the kids, because Expo Verde will offer educational workshops on the environment (for adults too), plus discussions and presentations on conservation.

Proceeds from exhibit fees will go toward environmental education programs that the Corcovado Foundation has been offering in the Osa Peninsula since 2003. For more information, check out their website or call 2297-3013.
