Equifax to offer 400 jobs in Costa Rica

Multinational credit services company Equifax Inc. announced plans Monday to hire 400 employees over the next three years for its shared services center in Costa Rica.

The expansion will allow the company to provide support for its operations in 19 countries in the Americas and Europe.

New hires will support its information technologies, information security and business operations services for new lines of business, products and services. They also will deliver global functions that support finance, accounting and procurement operations, the company reported.

President Luis Guillermo Solís welcomed the news and said that during his visit to the U.S. earlier this year, he met with executives from Equifax to assess the possibility of expanding the firm’s presence in Costa Rica.

“We welcome the opening of new quality job posts that offer growth opportunities for Costa Ricans. These announcements confirm that the country generates confidence in high-level foreign investment,” he said.

Equifax Chief Global Operations Officer Andy Bodea said the company’s experience in Costa Rica has been excellent and that the support it has received from the government and the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency “was instrumental in our decision to continue to expand here.”

In coming weeks, the company will begin hiring customer service representatives, business analysts, software engineers, application developers, data analysts, quality engineers and professionals in accounting and finance, procurement, and cybernetics, among others.

Job-seekers should send their résumé to: recruitment.cr@equifax.com or fill out a contact form on the Equifax website.
