Italian arrested with liquid cocaine at Costa Rica airport

Police at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaría International Airport arrested an Italian tourist Thursday carrying nearly 6 kilograms of liquid cocaine, according to a statement from the Public Security Ministry (MSP).

The suspect, identified by the name Cholozzolino, was toting the liquid cocaine in a black hydration pack hidden inside a blue backpack he carried on his way to Rome. The alleged drug mule entered Costa Rica on May 3 from Madrid.

Twenty people have so far been arrested this year with drugs at the international airport, according to MSP.
