Newcomers Club Events

The next meeting of the Newcomers Club for women will take place Oct. 6 at Los Cebollines restaurant in Santa Ana, southwest of the capital. Guest speaker Gail Nystrom of the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation will discuss recycling, volunteer projects, organizations and foundations in Costa Rica. The meeting will start at 10 a.m., with coffee served at 9:30 a.m.

Also, the Newcomers 2009 Show and Sell Arts and Crafts Exhibition is set for Oct. 25 at the Doubletree Cariari by Hilton ballroom, west of San José on the way to the airport. This event is a great opportunity for artists, craftspeople and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent, products and services.
