Need More Info on How To Move to Nicaragua

Dear Nica Times:

We, the retired communities, are looking and shopping for a new location to live better on our fixed income. The problem is where to get information.

My suggestion is that you publish a onepage article in your paper with such information and, each week, have a different aspect on the subject of living in Nicaragua.

For example, one week could focus on getting residency – what are the laws, procedures on how to get it, etc. The next week could focus on housing: how to buy, rent, price range, type of house, location, etc.

Another week could focus on climate, temperature averages, or maybe an article on transit and roads, or hiring outside help. You see what I mean?

Editor’s Note: In the past we ran regular Legal Advice columns on how to apply for residency, open a bank account, buy a home, etc. For the sake of new readers, we can periodically recycle some of those columns. There are also specific guidebooks geared toward people who want to move abroad to Nicaragua.
