Burger King Ad Deemed Whopping Security Threat

As part of its leave-no-patty-unturned campaign to rid Costa Rica of bandits, drug dealers, carjackers and other ne’er-do-wells, the government in April banned a Burger King advertisement on TV.

The ad depicted three mothers, angry that their children wanted only Whoppers, trying to hire a hitman to do violence to the hamburger chain’s mascot.

We – and the King – feel much safer now.
