Women’s Club Bazaar Debuts Cookbook and More

The Women’s Club of Costa Rica Annual Bazaar is set for Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CountryDay School in Escazú.

Proceeds will benefit the club’s many social service and scholarship projects assisting needy families. Admission is free.

Hot off the press in time for holiday gifts is the 300-page Women’s Club Cookbook, a collection of members’ favorite recipes in English and Spanish. A new food court, Mundo de Bocas, will feature a variety of bite-sized delicacies from around the world, including sushi, Cuban ropa vieja and Chinese dumplings, for just ¢500 (about $1) each. Participating restaurants include Bagelmen’s, Café Moro, Canal Grande, Don Wang, La Guagua, Muro-Ji and Saga. Bazaar sponsors include The Tico Times, La República and Conair.

Available for sale will be a selection of used books, holiday gifts from 52 artisans, artists and jewelers, and used clothing and accessories. The traditional bake sale and coffee corners will offer club members’ delicious homemade cakes, cookies and pies.
