Nutrition Company To Open Office Here

Herbalife, Ltd., a California-based weight-management and nutrition company, has announced it will open for business in Costa Rica next month – making this country the 62nd in which the company operates.

Its products include the ShapeWorks weight-loss program, nutrition packs and the Outer Nutrition line of skin and hair products, as well as fragrances. According to a statement on the company’s Web site, herbalife.com, products available at the Herbalife office in San José, set to open April 25, will include shakes, multivitamins, protein powder and teas.

Herbalife, founded in 1980, began operations in Panama in 2000; Costa Rica is the only other Central American country where it operates.
