Record Participation Expected At Commercial Food Fair

THE fifth annual “ALIMENTEXPO”food products fair, organized by the CostaRican Chamber of Foreign Trade andRepresentatives of Foreign Businesses(CRECEX), will take place July 27-28 inSan José. More than 90 business executivesfrom Central America, Mexico, theUnited States, Italy and Spain are expectedto participate in negotiations and conferencesabout the dynamism of theCentral American food sector.The fair is designed to help buyers,such as representatives of supermarketchains, find Central American businesspartners and products, according to astatement from CRECEX.Participants will display productsincluding meats and fish, vegetables,wine, beer and liquors, juices, dairy products,machinery, prime materials andmachine accessories.According to CRECEX, the fifthedition of the fair will be more successfulthan previous fairs because high levelparticipants from CornellUniversity, in the U.S. state of NewYork, and the U.S. ImportersAssociation, will be present.
