Hundreds Expected At Buyers’ Conference

BUSINESSES from around theworld will come to San José to negotiatedirectly with Costa Rican exportersduring the fourth Commercial Buyers’Mission next week, organized bythe Foreign Trade Promotion Office(PROCOMER).From Nov. 1-5, the ConferenceCenter at Hotel Herradura will host meetingsbetween companies involved in theproduction and distribution of fruits, vegetables,health foods, pastas, meats andother foods, according to a statementfrom PROCOMER.Expected visitors include businessesfrom Central America, Canada, theDominican Republic, El Salvador, theUnited States, Puerto Rico, Chile andMexico.According to a statement from theCanadian-Costa Rican Chamber ofCommerce (CANCHAM), which willhave a booth at the event, approximately150 foreign companies and 300 CostaRican producers are expected.The aim of the meetings is to buildrelationships that could lead to newexport opportunities for Tico producers.
