Sansa Airlines offers discount rates on domestic flights

Sansa Regional Airlines is offering cheaper rates for flights within Costa Rica as a way to promote local tourism.

Lower rates apply for popular tourism destinations across the Pacific, including Drake Bay, Golfito, Puerto Jiménez, Palmar Sur, Quepos,Tambor Beach, Tamarindo, Liberia and La Fortuna.

Rates vary according to destinations and time of the year. During high season, lower rates apply from Feb. 11-April 30, and range from $50-$85 each way, plus taxes.

Low season rates apply from May 1-Nov. 30, ranging from $40-$75, plus tax, each way. This is less than half the usual cost, the company said in a release.

Passengers must present their Costa Rican identity card (cédula) or permanent residency permit to obtain the discounts.

Cheaper rates can be redeemed exclusively at SANSA Regional offices or at the airline’s customer service centers located in local airports.
