Keylor Navas to make PSG debut today vs. Strasbourg

Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas is expected to make his PSG debut Saturday against Strasbourg, according to the French club’s manager. “If Keylor Navas doesn’t have any problems, he will play tomorrow,” Thomas Tuchel said in a Friday press conference.

Tuchel also added that after just a few days of training with the Tico star, he has learned that Navas “is a great goalkeeper and a great professional.” The Ligue 1 match kicks off at 9:30 a.m. in Costa Rica.

Navas joined PSG earlier this month after a decorated career with Real Madrid. The French club has won Ligue 1 eight times and is two-time defending champions. PSG is currently atop Ligue 1 with three wins and a loss over four matches played.

Navas and his former club won’t be strangers for long. PSG will face the Spanish side on Sept. 18 as part of Champions League play in what has suddenly become a must-watch match for Costa Rica soccer fans everywhere. Keylor Navas is officially in today’s starting lineup. ¡Buena suerte, Keylor!
