British Embassy’s Queen’s Birthday Party raises record amount for Costa Rica schools

The British Embassy is delighted to report that this year’s Queen’s Birthday Party, or QBP, celebrated April 2 in brilliant sunshine at the British Embassy Residence in Escazú, raised a record-breaking $24,200, thanks to the help and hard work of everybody involved.

This was the fifth and final QBP to be hosted by British Ambassador Tom Kennedy, and was the 10th anniversary of the party in this format. The annual event has now raised a total of $177,000 for Costa Rican schools in need – $100,000 during Ambassador Kennedy’s time here.

It was, as the theme suggested, a “Right Royal Celebration.” A great time was had by all.
