High culture, low canvas in Costa Rica

One of the favorite attractions for the crowds that flocked to this weekend’s Transitarte festival in San José was the stretch of sidewalk between the Supreme Elections Tribunal and Parque Nacional where artists, squatting on the pavement, used chalk to recreate iconic works of art.

Thank goodness it’s the dry season: if you drop by today, you can probably still take a look.

Would you like to submit a photo to our #TTPicOfTheDay series – the view from your home or favorite Costa Rican spot, or any other image you care to share? Please send horizontal photos at least 1100 pixels wide to kstanley@ticotimes.net. We’d love to see the sights with you.
