Costa Rica to start taxing casinos, call centers

A bill calling for the taxation of casinos and call centers in Costa Rica was approved in the Legislative Assembly.

Casinos will be taxed 10 percent of their net profit, and the funds will go toward public security.

The tax on call centers will depend on the number of employees working at each company.
