Russia names new envoy to Costa Rica

MOSCOW – Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has tapped Vladimir Kurayev as its new ambassador to Costa Rica, according to Russian press reports.

If accepted by Costa Rica´s government, Kurayev would take over from Valeri Nikolayenko, Russia´s current envoy in San José who is preparing for retirement, the news service RIA-Novosti reported.
