New Enviro Prosecutor To Watch Over Osa

Officials announced the opening of a new prosecutor’s office to focus on ecological destruction in the OsaPeninsula on the southern Pacific coast.

The office, based in Golfito, will have one prosecutor with one assistant to pursue environmental crimes perpetrated in Golfito, Osa, Corredores and San Vito.

The office was inaugurated on Tuesday but officials began work in February, prosecutor Karen Alvarado said.
