Activists File Complaint before Human Rights Center

The Strategic Group for the Depenalization of Abortion last week filed a complaint before the NicaraguanCenter for Human Rights to protest the Supreme Court’s lengthy delay in ruling on the constitutionality of the 2006 ban on therapeutic abortion.

The motion has been before the court for one year, yet the court, which is highly politicized, has not yet ruled on the issue.
