Mayor Freddy Garro Arias said that some of the squatters don’t actually live on the site and that they likely are looking to gain possession rights in order to be able to sell the land later.
An invasion of squatters, some with a criminal agenda, has traumatized this small surfing town, where many foreigners live in a gated community that was recently invaded by men who allegedly sexually molested two women and stole computers.
